Premier League Preview: Everton v Fulham

Everton will be aiming to keep their European dream alive when they host Fulham on Saturday.

David Moyes side have failed to win their past two in the league hence falling out of contention for the UEFA Champions League, and are five points off Tottenham in fifth.

However, it is the only meaningful thing either side has to play for at Goodison Park with Fulham dwelling in 11th position on 40 points.

Moyes conceded the continent s second-tier competition was their only goal in the run-in.

We are going to try and qualify for the Europa League, he said…

Liverpool are confident of Georginio Wijnaldum signing a new contract soon, according to Football Insider (via Sky Sports).

The midfielder arrived to Anfield from Newcastle in 2016, and saw his role in the middle of the park change slightly under Jurgen Klopp. From playing further up the pitch as a number 10, Wijnaldum is now a full-time box-to-box midfielder, well-suited for the 4-3-3 the German manager has mostly been utilizing as his preferred setup.

Haaland ultimatum is ´total b***s***´, claims Watzke

‘We gifted them two goals’ says Millie Bright after England lose to Netherlands

Skipper Millie Bright said England “gifted” the Netherlands their goals and were “not ruthless enough” after the Lionesses were beaten 2-1 in Utrecht in their second Nations League group game.

The hosts took the lead in the 34th minute when Georgia Stanway was closed down near her own box, the ball went to Danielle van de Donk and she teed up a Lieke Martens finish, which it appeared would have been ruled out for offside if VAR had been in operation.

After Alessia Russo’s 64th-minute equaliser, England were then punished after losing possession again in the 90th minute as Alex Greenwood gave the ball away and Martens fed substitute Renate Jansen, who rifled past Mary Earps.
