We love him – Azpilicueta hopeful over Hazard´s Chelsea future

Eden Hazard is still focused on Chelsea, according to Blues defender Cesar Azpilicueta, who hopes the forward stays at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard, long linked with a move to Real Madrid, only has one year left on his contract and has hinted at wanting to join the LaLiga giants.

Speaking after Chelsea s last Premier League game of the season, Hazard confirmed he has decided his future and informed the club of his intentions a couple of weeks ago .

Maurizio Sarri has indicated even winning the Europa League final against Arsenal later this month may not be enough to persuade Hazard to stay.

Chelsea fans unfurled a banner urging Hazard to remain at Stamford Bridge during the game at Leicester City on Sunday.

And Azpilicueta, who like Hazard has been a…

Getafe 1 Real Madrid 5: Brilliant Benzema shows France what they will miss

Karim Benzema appeared unaffected by France snubbing him for Euro 2016 as he scored and provided two assists in Real Madrid s 5-1 Liga win against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

The French Football Federation confirmed on Wednesday Benzema would not play a part in the European Championship on home soil this year due to his involvement in an ongoing legal investigation into an alleged plot to blackmail Lyon midfielder Mathieu Valbuena, and he wasted no time in reminding the decision makers of what they would be missing.

The 28-year-old produced a brilliant display to help Zinedine Zidane s side follow up qualifying for the Champions League semi-finals by piling the pressure on Liga leaders Barcelona – who entertain Valencia on Sunday – by closing the gap at…

Boateng left ´sad´ after politician´s controversial comments

While he refused to go into more detail, Jerome Boateng admitted he was left saddened after hearing Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD) politician Alexander Gauland s controversial comments towards him.

Gauland, the deputy leader of the anti-immigration party, was quoted by newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung as saying people like Boateng as a footballer, but wouldn t want to live next to someone like him in an apparent reference to the Bayern Munich defender s foreign roots.

Boateng was born in Berlin to a German mother and Ghanaian father, and has represented the German national team over 50 times since 2009, including their successful 2014 World Cup campaign.

When asked about his thoughts on the comments, Boateng responded: I do not assess it…

Hoping to make an immediate return to winning ways on Saturday afternoon, Crystal Palace will make the trip to Luton on the return from the international break.

Usmanov owns 30 per cent of Arsenal s shares, but is not part of the board or involved in decision-making at Emirates Stadium.

The Uzbek-born Russian was reportedly willing to pay £1 billion to acquire Kroenke s 67 per cent stake in the club, but the latter s company KSE UK has now seemingly ended Usmanov hopes of a takeover.

KSE UK, Inc notes the recent media speculation concerning its shareholding in Arsenal Holdings PLC and confirms that its shares are not, and never have been, for sale, an official statement reads.

Messi thought about leaving Barcelona

“Sincerely, at that time, I thought about leaving”.

Those are the short and sweet words of Lionel Messi who revealed during an interview with RAC1 that he considered leaving Barcelona back in 2013. The reason for this was because he felt he had been treated poorly by Spain when he was investigated for tax fraud which, unbelievably, first happened five years ago.

Messi is still widely considered to be the best footballer on planet earth to this day, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating as to what his next move will be in the beautiful game. He has remained loyal to Barca for many, many years, but at this stage, there are more than a few options out there if he wants to end his career elsewhere.

It doesn’t appear to be all too likely that’ll hap…

Sterling targets major trophies after joining Tuchel´s ´winning´ Chelsea side

Raheem Sterling hailed the winning mentality of Thomas Tuchel s Chelsea side as he targeted silverware after swapping Manchester City for the Blues.

Having won four Premier League titles in a successful seven-year spell with City, Sterling completed a £45million move to Chelsea earlier this month.

Chelsea s top league goalscorer last season was Sterling s England team-mate Mason Mount with 11, and the signing of the 27-year-old Sterling should give the Blues more cutting edge. Sterling s haul of 91 Premier League goals is a total that has been bettered only among City players by Sergio Aguero (184).

Chelsea have not won a Premier League title since Antonio Conte s men triumphed in the 2016-17 season, but they have collected several pieces of silverware in the…

Tottenham to target Gareth Bale

According to a recent report from AS, the appointment of Jose Mourinho as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur could lead to some good news for fans who want to see Gareth Bale return to the club. The Welshman is believed to be a key target for Mourinho during the January transfer window, and while that may be a little bit too soon to get all of the details ironed out regarding the deal, there’s certainly a chance that it could happen during next summer’s transfer window, too.

Jose has always been a big admirer of Bale’s game, and with him wanting a move away from Real Madrid as soon as possible, you would think that all of the pieces are falling perfectly into place.

The finances involved have to be taken into consideration, though, because Bale is the sort o…
